The Kiplin app uses Google services to measure your activity.
1 - First, check that your activity tracker has been created and that there are no error messages.
2A - If you're using our older Google Fit tracker system, please install and open the Google Fit app.
2A.1 - If you don't have any steps in the Google Fit app, the problem lies with Google. You'll need to verify that Google Fit has all the necessary permissions to recognize your activity.
2A.2 - If you have steps in Google Fit but none in the Kiplin app.
Check that you haven't:
added steps manually
modified existing activities
used apps that sync with Google Fit (we didn't accept external apps)
If all these conditions are met, please check the permissions granted to the Kiplin app in the Google Fit app:
Profile tab -> Settings -> Manage Connected Apps
Finally, you can delete your sensor and recreate one with our new system.
2B - If you use our new Google sensor system
You can unlink and recreate your sensor.
If this doesn't change anything, consider syncing your app with Health Connect; you can then use Google Fit or Samsung Health, for example, as a source.
3 - Your phone may have power saving mode enabled, blocking step counting. If so, disable it in your phone's settings. If your battery is low, step counting may sometimes stop as well.
