You may have power-saving mode enabled on your phone, blocking step counting. If this is the case, disable it in your phone settings. If you're on low battery, counting can sometimes stop as well.

Also, manually added steps and activities in Google Fit are automatically blocked in the data retrieval. Kiplin does not retrieve this data, but only the raw data counted by Google Fit.
